One register, doing two jobs: free access and the accuracy baseline.

Great Britain is the only geography with a knowledge-ready adapter serving both the free tier and the published accuracy method at once. Both facts follow from the same register: the National Energy System Operator's Transmission Entry Capacity list, which every transmission-connected project must appear in before it can connect to the grid.

What the register actually covers

TEC records the queue of generation and demand projects that have applied for a connection to Great Britain's transmission network, with the capacity, technology and status of each request. Because a project cannot legally connect without appearing in it, the register is close to a complete list of connection-stage activity — which is exactly why it is used as the adjudicator for our own accuracy scores rather than a sample built from press coverage.

Adapter-ready is not the same as paid-ready. The GB source is knowledge-ready: it reads correctly and produces mapped facts today. What remains is a fresh production import, seven consecutive daily canaries, and a current independent scorecard — the same bar every geography on the coverage page has to clear before checkout opens for it.

Why the free plan is scoped to GB

The free plan gives a rolling 24-month history plus 12 months forward of the GB corpus, at 30 requests a minute and up to 100 rows per answer, with the full evidence chain on every fact. It is scoped here because this is the geography with the most complete public-source depth today — a free tier built on a thinner geography would demonstrate less of the product, not more.

Where GB depth is still thin

TEC is a connections register, not a procurement or contracting register: it will not tell you who is building a project's substation package or when a turnaround window opens. Other GB sources have been acquired and are visibly held, but remain unmapped onto the field vocabulary until their reuse terms are reviewed, so package- and contractor-level GB detail is not yet where TEC-level connection detail is.

How a TEC entry maps onto our project model

A connection request is one status among several a project can carry, not a single pipeline stage — project status here is five separate dimensions rather than one string, because "queued for connection" and "in construction" answer different questions for a contractor filtering on procurement versus one filtering on active build. TEC updates the connection dimension specifically; it does not by itself move a project's construction or commissioning status, which is why other GB sources still matter even once TEC coverage is complete.

Is Great Britain a paid-ready geography?

Not yet. The NESO TEC adapter is knowledge-ready — it reads the register correctly today — but paid checkout for GB, like every other geography, opens only once its production corpus, seven consecutive daily canaries and a current independent scorecard all pass together.

Why does the free plan use GB specifically?

Because it is the geography with the most complete public-source depth today, so a bounded sample of it is representative of the product rather than a cut-down demo built for a country the system barely covers.

Does GB data cover more than transmission connections?
